The Formula 18 is a class of catamarans recognized by the ISAF1. The general characteristics of F18s make them powerful yet seaworthy boats, sensitive to trimming, and with great steering finesse. Specifications such as weight and sail area are subject to strict rules, defined by a "Box rule" designed to ensure sporting fairness between all crews.
